I have to say something about this, I was listening to Jamie Allman this morning on KFTK 97.1FM Talk and he had me so worked up that I wanted to call in to the show to agree with him and offer my thoughts!

What I am speaking about is the horrible school massacre at VT. Specifically how NBC handled the "showing" of the murderous idiots propaganda to the entire country before they showed it to law enforcement. Sure it would have shown up on U tube sooner or later, But they made the decision, they decided to glorify this idiot, turn him into a virtual G.I. Joe by airing the photo of him pointing his pistols like he was starring in his own video game. They say we should learn as much as we can about these kinds of people... Let the experts do that, it's not my job and unless your a specialist, it's not yours either How many? survivors are there by the way, they never talk about that.
It reminds me of AlJaZeera (terrorist tv) in the Middle East showing videos of martyred (bull$#!^) suicide bombers. Next thing you know, someone like Rosie O will commend Iran for sending this South Korean nutbag 30k!(they haven't actually done that, yet.)
No I have to vent about the law enforcement response. I was a police officer for over 5 years. Three in a N. St. Louis County Muni that was recognized by the St. Louis Post Dispatch as the 2nd most violent municipality in the county during the year 1996!
I wasn't there and I don't want to arm chair quarterback, buy why the hell did the cops not enter the building while the shooting was in progress. Your job is to get in there, cut your corners and engage the shooter, drawing the fire off the victims and onto you. If you go down, the cop behind you shoots the bad guy, if he go's down, it's cop #3! Why do we see images of cops hiding behind trees and cars! He had handguns!
Unbelievable! Well normally I stick to advertising, but I had to say this and a blog gives me that platform. I hope I haven't offended anybody. These are just my opinions. I will still watch NBC and I will still buy ads from them, I guess that makes me just as bad.

Al-Jazeera International is not terrorist TV. Its Global news channel, like CNN, that has dominated Global news in the past, which has a different and fresh perspective on the world. Its very narrow-minded to view it as a 'terrorist network' and you, who has said in a previous post that you are a "Christian/Conservative, proud of it and I wear it on my sleeve" should know that Christianity was bred from violence, wars, and blood not to mention the fact that the religion still prays to/idolizes saints and....oh what was that? Martyrs - someone who would rather die then renounce their religion. The Network doesn't show video's of the bombers because they want to raise them up on a pedestal, they do it because it is news, and people have a right to express a different view point from the completely one-sided view of western thought.

A few truth clarifications:
Christianity was bred from love, peace, and sacrifice for others, the life of Christ, who came to serve, and be a sacrifice for many. The breding of wars always has been motivated by others forces, fear, greed, ingnorance, or in a righteous way self defence.
Oh, and your defination of Martyrs is correct, someone who would rather die then renounce their religion. Martyrs are persecuted, and die for faith from inflication of others. There are still many martyrs in the world, who deserve special respect. But, Bombers and terrorists who blow themselves and other up are not Martyrs, they are killers, who deserve no honor.
